Hygiene Supervisor:
We are looking for a dedicated Hygiene Supervisor to join their team in a fast-paced food manufacturing and fulfilment environment. You will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and contributing to a safe working environment. You will be hard working, flexible and have an eye for detail and a passion for the role that you do.
Main duties and responsibilities
● Supervising and delegating tasks within the hygiene team to ensure tasks are completed with precision and efficiency.
● Development of cleaning schedules and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with food safety regulations (e.g., BRC, HACCP).
● Managing administrative tasks such as completion of relevant paperwork, stock taking and online ordering of hygiene consumables.
● Conducting routine swabbing activities to monitor and verify the effectiveness of cleaning procedures.
● Conducting daily inspections of work areas, verifying full compliance with required hygiene standards.
● Providing team cover during absence/holidays.
● Preparing for audits by paying meticulous attention to detail in hygiene standards and documentation and ensuring all necessary records are up to date
● Facilitate deep cleaning of food production equipment, machinery, and work areas to meet hygiene and safety standards.
● Adhere to health and safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
● Carry out any other reasonable requests to meet the needs of the business.
Skills
● Previous experience in a hygiene or similar role within food manufacturing or a similar environment (preferred).
● Computer literate, including Microsoft applications.
● Understanding of COSHH.
● Level 2 Food Hygiene Certification.
● Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting.
● Have a flexible, positive approach to working.
● Be highly motivated, determined and an enthusiastic individual.
Shift patterns
● 7.5 hour shifts
● Monday - Friday
● 10am - 6pm
● 37.5 hours per week
You may be required to work the occasional weekend to cover annual leave for the weekend Hygiene Supervisor.
The salary for this role is £28,000 per annum.
