Imaging Administrator/Spire Nottingham/Tollerton/Full Time

Spire (Blank) Hospital has an exciting opportunity for (Blank) to join the team on a (Blank) basis.

Duties and responsibilities:

To ensure an exemplary level of administration support and customer service to all patients, consultants, GPs and hospital staff that meets and strives to exceed all of our customer's expectations.To present a high standard of personal appearance together with total confidentiality in every aspect of work at all times.To provide information to patients, consultants and other relevant departments in a timely and courteous manner.To provide an efficient imaging administration service within the hospital utilising all necessary hospital IT programs while operating within established policies and procedures.

  • Welcoming, registering and booking appointments for all patients in a warm, professional and caring manner.
  • Provide and maintain an efficient bookings system for all in and out-patients using a computerised system (SAP and RIS) for GPs, consultants and other users.
  • Collate all necessary paperwork to enable radiographer/radiologist to undertake/report the examination.
  • Responsibility for the efficient management of imaging bookings, liaising with department staff as appropriate.
  • To present a professional, smart image at all times, ensuring adherence to the uniform policy.
  • Manage the department phone calls in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring all calls or enquiries are responded to in a timely manner.
  • Practice and maintain a high standard of confidentiality at all times and exercise absolute discretion in the use of all patient/consultant/staff information. Adhering to all Information Governance processes
  • Maintain departmental electronic and manual filing systems accurately (RIS, Mammography paperwork)

  • To undertake any training or development as required to acquire skills and knowledge to undertake role competently.
  • To assist in the training of new staff as required.
  • Undertake any other duties appropriate to the position as delegated by departmental manager. This may include report issuing; specialist appointment bookings.
  • To present a professional, smart image at all times, ensuring adherence to the uniform policy.
  • To undertake all work in accordance with company policy and procedures, ensuring familiarity with the Health and Safety at Work Act, including moving and handling and fire procedures.
  • To work in a flexible manner at all times and cover annual leave/sickness of other team members within the imaging team.
  • To maintain stationary stock levels

Who we're looking for:

  • Educated to GCSE standard in English and Maths.
  • Previous experience in a similar environment is desirable but not essential
  • A knowledge of medical terminology is desirable but not essential, along with a working knowledge of SAP or a similar patient booking system
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and produce and maintain accurate records
  • Good interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
  • Excellent keyboard skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
