Machine Operative

About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for Machine Operatives to support a busy manufacturing site in the DH7 area of Durham

This is an exciting opportunity to join a business experiencing rapid growth, with the potential for permanent employment for individuals who demonstrate reliability, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate machinery in line with production requirements - experience is not essential as full training will be provided on site
• Conduct basic quality checks on finished products
• Accurately calculate and record weights of raw materials
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Follow all health and safety procedures on site

Pay Rate:

£13.28ph - year on year pay rise as skills and experience develop within the company

Working Hours:

Shift patterns vary and will include weekly rotations of:

• Day Shift: 40 hours per week
• Back Shift: 40 hours per week
• Night Shift: 32 hours per week (paid as 40 hours)

Candidate Requirements:

• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling (up to 25kg regularly)
• A valid driving licence is preferred due to location and shift start/finish times
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliable and punctual
