We are looking for permanent machine operators for our client in Aberdeen
Machine Operator
Location: Aberdeen
Salary: £25,480 per annum
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 0630 to 1500; Friday, 0600 to 1430
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
No weekends or backshifts
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate and monitor food production machinery safely and efficiently.
- Carry out routine machine checks and basic troubleshooting to minimise downtime.
- Ensure production targets and deadlines are achieved.
- Monitor product quality and report any issues promptly.
- Complete production records accurately.
- Follow food safety, quality, hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times.
- Perform cleaning and sanitation procedures on equipment and work areas.
- Assist with changeovers and machine adjustments when required.
- Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth production operations.
Requirements
- Previous machine operating experience within a manufacturing or food production environment is essential.
- Good mechanical aptitude and ability to identify basic equipment faults.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
- Good communication skills and a positive team-focused attitude.
- Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining high standards.
