Blue Arrow is working with a well-established manufacturing business in Sudbury that is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to help manage day-to-day workshop operations. This is a hands-on role where you'll be leading a team, keeping production running smoothly, and making sure quality standards are maintained throughout the factory.

What will you be doing?

As Manufacturing Supervisor, you'll be responsible for keeping operations running efficiently and ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the required standard.

Duties will include:

• Overseeing daily fabrication and welding activities
• Supporting and motivating workshop staff
• Monitoring workloads and production schedules
• Making sure quality standards are met
• Carrying out regular checks throughout the production process
• Managing stock levels and materials within the warehouse
• Maintaining a safe working environment
• Completing production paperwork and reports
• Working alongside management to identify improvements and increase efficiency
• Providing guidance on fabrication and welding work when required
• Helping train new starters and developing existing team members

What we're looking for

We're interested in speaking to candidates who have:

• Previous supervisory experience within manufacturing, fabrication or welding
• Good knowledge of welding and metal fabrication processes
• Understanding of EN1090 standards
• Experience working in a workshop or production environment
• Basic to intermediate IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
• Strong organisation and problem-solving skills
• The ability to lead by example and support a team
• A practical, positive and proactive approach to work
