Markets Operative required!

Salary: £13.76

Location: City Hall, BS1

Hours: This is a rota shift based role - early shift 6 am - 2 pm, day is 10 am - 6 pm. Sporadic cover on Saturdays, with most Sundays off.

It is outdoor onsite work, involving putting up umbrellas, tables etc. The client needs someone reliable. There will always be another operative on shift. Good communication skills, able to work with others. Confident manner, work will also involve speaking to other market stall holders.

Key job outcomes/accountabilities
* Carry out and range of cleaning, waste disposal and recycling tasks. Operate mechanical cleaning equipment.
* Unlock, lock and secure premises and open space sites. Operate building security and fire alarm systems.
* Provide an on-site security presence to address anti-social behaviour and crime issues.
* Provide information and general assistance to customers, clients and stakeholders.
* Set up, move and dismantle market and event equipment. Provide general porterage services for market traders and event organisers. Operate mechanical handling equipment.
* Carry out minor repairs and maintenance to buildings, infrastructure and equipment.
