π· Β£43,036.20 Basic Salary per annum
π Β£9,094 Shift Allowance per annum
π― Annual Production Bonus - up to 10% of salary (following qualifying period)

β Two 45-minute breaks per shift
β Attendance at training on non-rostered days enables employees to bank up to 24 hours additional time off per year
Reporting to the Shift Maintenance Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a wide range of plant and equipment within a busy heavy manufacturing environment.
π§ Carry out preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance across a wide range of plant and equipment.
π§ Undertake mechanical installations, breakdown repairs and general maintenance activities to minimise downtime and maximise plant reliability.
π§ Complete Task Specific Risk Assessments and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all maintenance activities.
π§ Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company procedures, permits to work and relevant legislation.
π§ Safely isolate equipment and verify isolations prior to commencing maintenance work.
π§ Identify and report issues that may impact the safe, efficient or reliable operation of plant and equipment.
π§ Maintain exceptional housekeeping standards and ensure work areas are left clean, safe and organised.
π§ Use PPE, tools, lifting equipment and company vehicles correctly and safely at all times.
π§ Accurately book parts from stores and apply appropriate cost codes.
π§ Support and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality and Energy policies.
π§ Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability and site performance.
β Completed Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent
β Previous experience working within a heavy industrial, manufacturing or process environment
β Strong mechanical maintenance, fault-finding and repair skills
β Good understanding of safe isolation, permit-to-work systems and maintenance best practice
β Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental responsibility
β Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments
β Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative maintenance team
β Reliable and flexible approach with excellent timekeeping and attention to detail
β Proactive attitude towards maintenance, reliability and continuous improvement
β Strong problem-solving skills and a practical approach to engineering challenges
