Pay Rate: £18.50 - £20.00 per hour (with clear progression opportunities)

Hours:

  • Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 17:00
  • Friday: 08:00 - 16:30

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated TIG/MIG Welder with strong aluminium experience to join a well‑established engineering team. You'll be welding precision components, supporting workshop operations, and contributing to a safe, positive working environment. For the right individual, this role offers genuine progression, further training, and long‑term career development.


Key Responsibilities

Welding & Fabrication

  • Perform accurate TIG/MIG welding on aluminium components to meet production and quality specifications.
  • Prepare, cut, clean, and assemble aluminium materials before welding.

Quality & Compliance

  • Inspect welds for accuracy, consistency, and structural strength.
  • Ensure all work meets company and customer standards.

Workshop Support

  • Assist with general fabrication tasks and workshop housekeeping.
  • Maintain an organised working area and support workflow efficiency.

Health & Safety

  • Follow all safety procedures, including correct PPE use.
  • Promote safe working practices and report any potential hazards.

Team Collaboration

  • Work effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and production leads to meet deadlines.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in TIG/MIG aluminium welding (essential)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Physically fit and able to carry out manual duties
  • Team player with a positive and proactive attitude
