🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 15:30

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Mobile Caretaker to join our team, providing caretaking and basic maintenance services across a portfolio of residential and commercial properties throughout Derby and the surrounding area.

This is a varied, hands-on role that requires excellent problem-solving skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out regular inspections of properties and communal areas.
• Undertake general caretaking duties including litter picking, sweeping, cleaning, and waste management.
• Complete basic repairs and maintenance tasks where appropriate.
• Report defects, repairs, and health & safety concerns.
• Ensure communal areas are safe, clean, and well-presented at all times.
• Conduct health and safety checks and maintain accurate records.
• Respond to tenant and customer enquiries professionally.
• Liaise with contractors and support access when required.
• Assist with emergency response and property security issues as necessary.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have previous experience in a caretaking, facilities, maintenance, or property services role.
• Possess good practical maintenance skills.
• Be self-motivated and able to manage your workload effectively.
• Have excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Be flexible, dependable, and able to work independently.
• Have a good understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Hold a full UK driving license (essential).
