Motor Mechanic / MOT Tester

We are currently recruiting for a Permanent Motor Mechanic / MOT Tester to join a well-established, independently run car garage located in Dundee. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and reliable individual to become part of a friendly and professional team.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 08:30 - 17:00
• No weekend work

Salary

• £15 per hour and above, depending on experience

Job Description

As a Motor Mechanic / MOT Tester, your responsibilities will include:

• Performing routine vehicle maintenance and repairs to a high standard
• Conducting MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out necessary repairs efficiently
• Ensuring all work is completed in a timely manner and meets safety standards
• Maintaining accurate records of work carried out and parts used
• Providing excellent customer service and communicating clearly with clients

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
• Valid MOT Tester certification (preferred but not essential)
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence
