Salary: £37,400 - £38,522 per annum + circa £1,200 annual on-call allowance

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

The Role

We are seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Technician to join a busy facilities maintenance team supporting a large and diverse estate.

Are you a hands-on Maintenance technician looking for a varied role to expand your horizons and to work where your work truly matters? Whether you are a skilled Plumber / Electrician / HVAC / Multi-skilled Engineer - we are looking for your skills

This is a varied, hands-on role involving both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across a range of building services. You'll help ensure buildings and facilities remain safe, compliant and fully operational.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs
  • Diagnose faults and undertake repairs across mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems, with a focus on your core trade
  • Support colleagues across multiple disciplines to maintain service continuity
  • Use CAFM systems to manage and record maintenance activities
  • Liaise with contractors and site stakeholders
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety and compliance requirements
  • Participate in the on-call rota

Essential Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Recognised trade qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent) in Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline
  • Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities management or building services
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of health and safety legislation
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Desirable

  • Experience working within a large commercial, educational, healthcare or public-sector environment
  • Knowledge of CAFM systems and Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • Multi-skilled experience across additional trades
  • Experience supervising contractors or supporting small projects
