Job Description - Early Years Educator

A nursery based in central Basingstoke is seeking a qualified Early Years Educator to join its team. The role focuses on supporting the intellectual, social, and emotional development of children aged 0-5, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment, and fostering strong partnerships with families and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging educational activities in line with the EYFS framework
• Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
• Act as Key Person, building strong relationships with children and families
• Observe, assess, and record children's progress
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of care and education

Requirements

• Level 2 qualification in Early Years Education/Childcare (or equivalent)
• Experience working with children under 5
• Strong knowledge of child development and EYFS
• Empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills
• Previous experience as an Early Years Educator, Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Assistant, or Nursery Nurse is desirable
