Location: Nottingham City Centre

Hours: 37 hours per week

Typical Working Pattern: Mon-Fri: 8:00am-4:00pm / Occasional late shift: 9:30am-5:30pm (applicants must be available for both)

Contract Length: 15 March 2026 - 18 September 2026


Our client is seeking an Operational Resource Planner to play a key role in delivering a fast, efficient and customer-focused repairs service across the city.

Based in Nottingham City Centre, you'll help ensure that trades teams and contractors are in the right place at the right time - keeping services running smoothly and customers satisfied. If you're organised, calm under pressure and enjoy problem‑solving, this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Operational Resource Planner, you will:

  • Coordinate and schedule daily workloads for trade operatives and contractors
  • Manage and update appointment systems to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Help meet key performance indicators through effective planning and prioritisation
  • Maintain accurate records and keep systems up to date
  • Work with tenants, colleagues and partners to deliver high-quality customer service
  • Resolve issues quickly and professionally, maintaining excellent communication throughout

You'll be at the heart of operations, ensuring repairs are completed promptly and service levels remain high.


Essential Criteria

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • Proven experience scheduling appointments or managing diaries for large teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong administrative skills and the ability to maintain accurate records
  • Experience using both computerised and manual office systems
  • Confidence communicating directly with members of the public
  • The ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight targets
  • Excellent numeracy, literacy, and IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills across phone, email, meetings and face‑to‑face communication
  • Experience using IT systems to input, manage and analyse data
  • NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration, Customer Service, ICT, or relevant equivalent experience
  • A professional approach, high integrity and commitment to equality and diversity

Desirable Criteria

It's a bonus (but not essential) if you have:

  • An understanding of service delivery within a multicultural community
  • Knowledge of housing or repairs services
  • Experience working in a value‑for‑money-driven environment
  • Advanced organisational and prioritisation skills across manual and digital diary systems
