Plumber needed!!

* Salary: £17.89 per hour

* Location: Borough Hall, MK42

* Hours: Mon Weds - 8 - 4.30 / Thurs - Fri 8 - 3.30

* Till April 2026

Plumber visits will this be within the Bedford area or further a field

Must hold a full UK driving licence and be comfortable driving a council works vehicle

Candidate will need their own tools.

Must have -

Must be qualified to NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or have completed a City & Guilds in Plumbing, have completed an apprenticeship, and have practical experience, preferably in a repairs and maintenance environment, ideally for public buildings.
Must have an awareness of legionella and L8 Approved Code of Practice (ACOP)
Must have a good understanding of health and safety issues/requirements in a building works environment and appreciate the need to follow recognised Council procedures. Able to maintain a clean and safe working environment. CSCS card preferred
Have completed Asbestos Awareness Training
Ability to take responsibility for vehicles and tools
Be computer literate, have experience in the use of PDA and the ability to operate a PDA and update works status and image upload. Have a commitment towards training in new software systems.
Able to accurately record materials and timings
Must be self-motivated with a can-do attitude and be able to work as a member of a team with a flexible approach to duties and working hours.
Must have experience in the use of recognised, specialist building works equipment, and the use of machinery.
