Job Overview
We are recruiting an experienced Plumber to carry out day‑to‑day responsive repairs and maintenance across housing stock, public buildings and schools. This role involves both 1st and 2nd fix plumbing, general maintenance work and contributing to an out‑of‑hours rota.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Complete all plumbing repairs, maintenance and renovation work across domestic and public buildings.
- Carry out new plumbing installations, including 1st and 2nd fix.
- Interpret design drawings, plans and technical specifications accurately.
- Resolve routine on‑site plumbing issues using your own initiative, liaising with management where required.
- Maintain optimum stock levels within your vehicle to ensure efficiency.
- Work within an appointment system and maintain excellent customer communication.
- Submit worksheets and job documents (paper or electronic) within required timescales.
- Accurately record time, materials, SOR codes and receipts for each job.
- Participate in the out‑of‑hours emergency repair rota as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in plumbing repairs and maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and problem‑solve on site.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence (if vehicle provided/required).
- Ability to follow schedules, complete paperwork accurately and work to deadlines.
