Spire Nottingham Hospital has an exciting opportunity for Spire Private Patient Co-Ordinator to join the team on a 3 Month Fixed Term Contract.

Duties and responsibilities:

The high-profile role is in place to support patients and consultant colleagues navigate suitable private pathways and treatment options. The Private Patient Coordinator will predominantly support Self-Pay patient enquiries at either enquiry, outpatient or in care stage as well as providing the support for patients with private medical insurance. The role will support the conversion warm leads into appointments and admissions in order to meet key performance targets whilst delivering our Purpose of providing 'outstanding personalised care.'

  • Manage in bound Self-Pay patient enquiries, in person, over the telephone and online/email, from initial enquiry through to booking by providing a timely and conscientious service.
  • Through a consultative approach proactively convert patients post consultation to imaging, physiotherapy or surgical admission depending on their need ensuring patients get the treatment they need within the Spire network
  • Support Patient Service Centres at peak times specifically with the follow up of quotes
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with prospective patients via telephone and email, to provide information regarding pricing, procedures, consultants, availability taking bookings and payments where appropriate
  • Work with closely with consultants and medical administration teams to follow up and inform patients as to the next steps in their care.
  • Support the effective processing of 'short notice' bookings across all payors ensuring key stakeholders are engaged
  • Deliver high quality customer service & care, in line with the expectations of a leading private healthcare business
  • Work with consultants to effectively adopt and utilise digital tools and new technology including, pricing booking and quoting tools
  • Act as a change champion with consultants and their medical secretaries supporting the adoption of new systems and ways of working
  • Liaise with Hospital departments to address communication or administrative issues and opportunities for improvement enabling a seamless patient experience.
  • Provide information on the availability of financing solutions to patients in order provide payment plans
  • Provide clear and transparent quotations for treatments, diagnostics, minor operations and surgical admissions and follow up on these quotes within the agreed SLA
  • Support patients in the navigation of Insured (PMI) pathways where your skills will support a smooth patient pathway within the Spire Network this may include supporting patients to get preauthorisation
  • Support patients requiring specialised services find the right part of the Spire network for their care to ensure continuity for the patient and retention for Spire
  • Work with other parts of the Spire network and wider healthcare ecosystem to develop appropriate referrer relationships and networks
  • Report to the Patient Support Centre Sales Manager on any escalations or concerns for activity and performance.
