Production & Manufacturing Operator

Location: Perth, Scotland

Hourly Rate: £13.45 per hour

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:45pm (1-hour unpaid break)

Start Date: Immediate Start Available

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Blue Arrow is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading Perth-based manufacturer for a Production & Manufacturing Operator to join their busy production team immediately.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with previous production or manufacturing experience who are looking for long-term work with the potential to secure a permanent position.

The Role

Working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.This role combines machine operation, quality control, equipment maintenance and general production duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery safely and efficiently
• Load and unload materials and monitor machine performance
• Set up and adjust machinery to meet production specifications
• Carry out quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process
• Record production data, quality checks and batch information accurately
• Complete daily machine checks and basic preventative maintenance
• Maintain high housekeeping standards within the production area
• Work towards daily production targets while maintaining quality standards
• Follow all Health & Safety, ISO and operational procedures
• Support warehouse operations and deliveries when required
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure production deadlines are met

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Previous experience within a production or manufacturing environment
• Experience operating production machinery
• Good attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to follow work instructions and production specifications
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
• Understanding of workplace Health & Safety procedures
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Desirable

• Experience operating rewind, slitting or converting machinery
• Experience within hygiene, paper, textile or manufacturing industries
• Basic maintenance experience
• Forklift licence

Working Environment

This role is based within a manufacturing facility where you will be working around machinery and production equipment. The position involves standing for extended periods, manual handling, repetitive tasks and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
