Production Operative - Temporary to Permanent Opportunity

Location: Burton-on-Trent

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Rotating Shifts)

Pay Rate: £14.03 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, label, and package finished products to strict quality standards.
• Operate within a controlled sterile environment whilst following all GMP and hygiene procedures.
• Monitor stock levels, accurately record inventory, and investigate discrepancies.
• Complete manufacturing documentation and maintain accurate production records.
• Follow standard operating procedures and quality processes at all times.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production area.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Shift Pattern

Week 1

Monday to Friday

6:00am - 2:00pm

Week 2

Monday to Thursday

1:00pm - 9:00pm

Friday

11:00am - 7:00pm

Candidate Requirements

We're looking for reliable and motivated individuals who can demonstrate:

• Previous experience within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Alternatively, experience within a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment is essential.
• Experience working within a regulated or quality-driven environment would be highly advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed procedures.
• Strong awareness of health and safety requirements.
• Flexibility to work the rotating shift pattern.

Please note: Due to the shift start and finish times, candidates living outside of Burton-on-Trent are strongly advised to have their own transport, as public transport may not be suitable for all shifts.

Sterile Environment Requirements

As this role is based within a sterile compounding facility, strict contamination control measures must be followed at all times:

Piercings

All piercings must be removed. Where removal is not possible, they must be fully covered.

Jewellery

Only one plain wedding band is permitted. All other jewellery must not be worn.

Make-up & Cosmetics

Make-up, false eyelashes, eyelash extensions, and cosmetic products are not permitted within the sterile environment.

Nails

False nails, acrylic nails, gel nails, and nail polish are strictly prohibited. Natural nails must be clean, short, and well maintained.

Fragrances

Perfume, aftershave, and body sprays must not be worn within the compounding unit. Scented deodorant is permitted.

Hair

Long hair must be tied back securely and contained in accordance with PPE requirements.
