Production Operative - Belper

Own transport is required unless you live locally, due to the shift start and finish times. Free on-site parking is available.

We are currently recruiting motivated and reliable Production Operatives to join a leading manufacturer within the water heating industry, producing high-quality boiler systems. Shift Pattern & Pay Rates

The role involves a rotating shift pattern, so applicants must be able to work all three shifts:

Days

Monday to Friday

• 06:00 - 14:30 (12:00 finish on Fridays)
• £14.05 - £17.75 per hour

Afternoons

Monday to Friday

• 14:00 - 23:00 (18:00 finish on Fridays)
• £16.02 - £19.72 per hour

Nights

Sunday to Thursday

• Sunday: 20:30 - 06:00
• Monday to Thursday: 23:00 - 06:00
• £17.05 - £20.75 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Operating machinery and using a range of hand and powered tools
• Assembling components on a fast-paced production line
• Meeting quality standards and production targets, including 90-second cycle times
• Reporting equipment faults, defects, or production issues
• Following all health and safety procedures at all times
• Supporting and training new team members as experience develops
• Maintaining a clean and organised working environment

What We're Looking For

Previous production, assembly, or manufacturing experience is desirable; however, candidates with transferable skills from other industries are encouraged to apply.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
• Excellent attention to detail and a focus on quality
• A willingness to learn and follow established procedures

• The ability to learn new processes quickly
• Experience using hand tools or power tools is advantageous
• Engineering or mechanical experience would be beneficial but is not essential
