Production Supervisor

Blue Arrow is urgently recruiting for a Production Supervisor to join our clients manufacturing team based in the Baglan area.

Rate of pay: £32,000p.a

Hours of work: Full time 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.30pm shifts

Contract: Permanent

Our client is looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join their growing operations team. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for ensuring daily production targets are met safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You'll oversee the blending, filling, and packing operations, ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and internal quality control procedures. You'll lead a small team of production operatives, supporting training, performance, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Main Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily production activities to meet schedules and targets.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with company procedures.
• Coordinate with the management team to maintain smooth workflow.
• Lead, motivate, and develop production operatives.
• Maintain accurate production records and report performance metrics.
• Identify process improvements to drive efficiency and reduce waste.
• Assist with equipment maintenance planning and site audits.

Requirements:

• Experience in managing a team
• Minimum 3 Years of experience in a production or manufacturing role
• Strong understanding of health & safety and quality management systems
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Organised, proactive, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Forklift experience

Desirable

• Experience with SAGE 50
• Experience with chemical manufacturing and blending
• Knowledge of COSHH
• Driving License
