Production Supervisor
Location: Aberdeen
Salary: £33,280 per annum increasing to £35,880 on achievement of KPIs
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 0630 to 1500; Friday, 0600 to 1430
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
No weekends or backshifts
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of production operatives on the factory floor.
- Ensure daily production schedules and targets are achieved efficiently.
- Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with company standards and customer requirements.
- Promote and maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety at all times.
- Provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to team members.
- Manage staff attendance, performance, and productivity on shift.
- Identify and resolve production issues to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.
- Conduct regular production checks and complete relevant documentation accurately.
- Liaise with management and other departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and encourage best working practices throughout the team.
Requirements
- Previous supervisory experience within a food production or manufacturing environment is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise workloads effectively.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
- Competent IT skills and experience completing production-related paperwork and reports.
