About the Role

 

We are seeking an organised and proactive Activities Administrator to join our team at HMP Fosse Way. This is a key role in supporting the coordination and administration of purposeful activity for prisoners, ensuring individuals engage in work, education, or training aligned with their Resettlement Action Plans (RAPs).

 

You'll be responsible for maintaining accurate records, supporting internal communications, and ensuring activities are scheduled effectively across the prison. This role plays an essential part in meeting operational targets and helping prisoners progress toward rehabilitation.

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Support the implementation of purposeful activity strategies.
  • Provide administrative support to the Learning and Skills Department.
  • Maintain accurate scheduling records on CMS and other systems.
  • Identify eligible prisoners for activity placements and manage allocations.
  • Work collaboratively and communicate professionally across departments.
  • Produce reports and ensure timely submission of monthly data.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection standards.
  • Handle filing, archiving, and other administrative tasks as needed.

 

We're looking for someone who demonstrates:

  • Commitment to teamwork and supporting colleagues.
  • GCSEs at grade C or above in English and Maths.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Understanding of data protection policies and secure data handling.

 

Desirable

  • Basic IT proficiency or computer literacy certification
  • Experience using databases and reporting tools.
