Quality Laboratory Assistant

Blue Arrow is urgently recruiting for A Quality Laboratory Assistant to join our clients team based in the Port Talbot area.

Salary: £26,000-£29,925p. Depending on Experience

Hours of work: Mon - Fri: 08:30-16:30

Contract: Permanent

Purpose: To guarantee the availability of trustworthy and prompt data through the correct development of quality control lab activities.

Main Responsibilities:

• Carry out lab tests (raw materials and finished product) in accordance with the operational procedures defined in the reference documentation
• Collect product samples from relevant departments across site
• Perform routine mechanical testing for quality checks on paper products
• Accurately record, report, and maintain quality data and documentation
• Manage the monitoring and measuring tools of the quality control lab
• Analyse the competitors' products according to defined methods and timing, recording those activities in computer format
• Support the Line Manager in his working needs
• Support the Quality team and the wider site with auditing activities

Skills required:

• Ability to work well both independently and within a team
• Skilled in managing administrative tasks, prioritising workload and working effectively to deadlines
• Previous experience in a similar quality role (ideally in the manufacturing industry)
