Quality Laboratory Technologist - £13.46 - Bristol

We are looking for Quality Laboratory Technologists for our food production client based in Portbury, Bristol.

Days of Work: Monday to Friday

Hours of Work: 06.00-14.00 or 14.00-22.00

Hourly Rate: £13.46

Location: Portbury, Bristol - You will need a car or motorbike to get to the location

What you will be doing

As a member of the Quality laboratory who helps support the laboratory team leader to ensure the laboratory is a safe and clean environment that generates accurate results on all products at Portbury Site in a timely, professional and organised manner, in order to ensure food safety, legality, quality, authenticity, and integrity of product.

Role Responsabilities

To analyse any of the samples normally dealt with by the Laboratory including internal checks and analysis of standards. Such analyses may be made using chemical and physical-chemical techniques and where appropriate the procedure to be followed for a given analysis will have to be decided.

To carry out more specialised analyses under the direction of supervision.

To recognise anything atypical within ones own analytical results and in those of other Laboratory Technologists

To maintain adequate records of work done and results obtained, reporting the latter promptly and drawing attention to unexpected features to Management.

To carry out other such duties within the Section as may be assigned from time to time by

To deputise for the laboratory team leader during their absence

Skills and experience required

Previous experience in same or similar role

Fluent written and spoken English

Experience in a manufacturing environment.

"A" Level science, preferable Degree

You will need a car or motorbike to get to the location
