Hours: 08:45 - 17:00
Shift Pattern: 9‑day fortnight
- Week 1: Monday to Friday
- Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday (Wednesday off)
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Recycling Operator to join our team at a busy recycling centre in the Glenrothes/Kirkcaldy area. This is a hands‑on, active role where you will play an important part in supporting sustainable waste management for the local community.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting members of the public with the safe disposal and sorting of waste materials
- Ensuring recyclable materials are handled correctly and efficiently
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment
- Providing excellent customer service and guidance on recycling procedures
- Supporting the overall operations of the recycling centre as required
What We're Looking For
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
- Good communication skills with a friendly, helpful approach
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
- Previous waste/recycling experience beneficial but not essential
