Job summary

The Integrated Corporate Services (ICS) is a new shared corporate service, launched in July 2023. It provides corporate services (HR, Finance, Digital, Commercial, Security and Estates) across the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero (DESNZ) and the Department for Science, Innovation & Technology (DSIT).

We are seeking a motivated and certified Salesforce Administrator to support the management and optimisation of our ICS Digital Salesforce platform, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of ICS Digital. As a Salesforce Administrator, you will work closely with senior staff to develop your skills and ensure best practices are followed.

This is a crucial new role that will sit within the Software Developer team, you will work alongside Civil Servants and Contractors to develop a range of services on our Salesforce Platform. Working to a Salesforce Developer, you will be the point of contact for Salesforce Administration.

Person specification

- Assist in managing and maintaining the Salesforce platform, including user setup, profiles, roles, customisation of objects, fields, record types, page layouts, and validations.

- Support the development and implementation of scalable and efficient solutions within Salesforce to support business processes and requirements.

- Perform regular system audits and assist in preparing for Salesforce's three annual updates.

- Help create and manage workflow rules, data validation, and triggers.

- Provide training and support to end-users to ensure they are effectively utilising Salesforce.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, develop, and deploy new business processes.

- Stay current with Salesforce releases and new features, ensuring the organisation is leveraging the latest capabilities.

- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues within Salesforce and its products in a timely manner.

Essential criteria

- Salesforce Administrator Certification.

- Experience as a Salesforce Administrator or related role.

- Basic understanding of Salesforce best practices and functionality.

- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under supervision.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
