School Caretaker / Janitor - Ashbourne

⏰ 10am to 6pm

💷 £14.50 per hour

📅 Full time or part time (2 days per week option)

🛡️ Enhanced DBS required

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and hands‑on Caretaker / Janitor to join a welcoming school in Ashbourne. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in keeping spaces clean and safe, and is confident looking after a busy school site.

What you will be doing

✨ General cleaning and tidying across the school

🔧 Basic repairs and maintenance tasks

🚪 Opening, closing and securing the building

📦 Supporting with deliveries, room setups and site checks

🏫 Keeping the school safe, clean and presentable for pupils, staff and visitors

Hours and working pattern

We welcome both full time and part time applicants.

Part time applicants can work 2 set days per week, sharing the role with another caretaker.

What we're looking for

⭐ Someone reliable and practical

⭐ Positive attitude and good communication skills

⭐ Experience in a similar role is helpful but not essential

⭐ Enhanced DBS already in place or happy to obtain one
