Senior Operational Risk Manager

Broadgate Search is partnered with a highly regarded and well-established UK financial services institution is seeking an experienced Senior Operational Risk Manager to join its growing Group Risk function.

This is an opportunity to step into a highly visible second-line role within a respected institution where risk is seen as a strategic partner to the business. The team has a broad remit and genuine influence across the organisation, giving you the platform to shape how operational risk is understood, challenged and embedded at a group level.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will help strengthen and evolve the Operational Risk Framework, providing oversight, analysis and constructive challenge across a range of business areas. The role combines strategic exposure with hands-on risk work, including risk reporting for executive committees, scenario analysis, thematic reviews and partnership with the business on risk and control assessments.

You will also play a key part in developing relationships across the organisation, ensuring risk considerations are embedded into decision-making while helping enhance the overall control environment.

We’re looking for someone who brings:

Experience in Operational Risk, ideally within financial services
Strong analytical capability and the ability to translate risk insights for senior audiences
Confidence working with senior stakeholders and providing effective challenge is a crucial part of this role
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for reporting and presentations
Excellent written communication and attention to detail
