University Cleaner

£13.45 per hour

10:00am - 6:00pm, Monday to Friday

Enhanced DBS (issued within the last 12 months) required

Job Summary

We are currently recruiting for a University Cleaner to work on a university campus in Bristol. This is a full-time, ongoing position offering consistent weekday hours and a competitive pay rate.

As part of the cleaning team, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role would suit someone who is reliable, hardworking, and takes pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Cleaning classrooms, lecture theatres, offices, corridors, and communal areas
• Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors
• Cleaning and sanitising washrooms and toilet facilities
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
• Replenishing consumables including soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls
• Ensuring cleaning standards are maintained across the campus
• Reporting maintenance issues and health & safety concerns to management

Requirements

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
• Good attention to detail
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Availability Monday-Friday on an ongoing basis
• Enhanced DBS certificate issued within the last 12 months is essential
