Warehouse Operative
Location: Theale, Berkshire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Driving Licence: Highly desirable (Full UK, minimum 3 years)
Role Overview
We're recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join a busy and supportive team working within a community equipment service. This is a varied role that involves stock handling, equipment preparation, and occasional support with deliveries and collections. You'll play a key part in ensuring vital equipment is ready and available to support vulnerable individuals across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and close down collection orders from the previous day
- Scan and store recycled stock in the warehouse racking system
- Label products with part numbers and serial numbers
- Receive and log stock deliveries via purchase orders
- Maintain a clean and organised service centre
- Log special stock orders and communicate with the call centre
- Pick and label stock for outgoing orders
- Carry out basic equipment repairs when required
- Perform decontamination of equipment in line with MHRA guidelines
- Complete all paperwork accurately and in line with procedures
- Communicate any issues to supervisors
- Assist with rolling and annual stock checks
Candidate Profile
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous warehouse experience (preferred)
- Decontamination experience (beneficial)
- Enthusiastic, motivated, and flexible approach to work
Knowledge & Experience:
- Experience working within ISO9002 procedures (advantageous)
- Understanding of community equipment services or public sector (advantageous)
Qualifications:
- GCSE-level education or equivalent (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence (highly desirable to support technician duties)
