Warehouse Operative - Cheshunt, EN8
Full-Time | Ongoing Temporary Contract
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Operative to join our team in the Cheshunt (EN8) area. This is a full-time position offering consistent hours and the opportunity to work within a fast-paced, organised warehouse environment.
Hours of Work
Monday to Friday - Full-time hours
8:30am - 5:00pm
Weekend work may be required on occasion.
Pay Rate
Standard Rate: £14.10 per hour
Overtime Rate: £18.50 per hour
Contract Type
Temporary - Ongoing (Full-time hours)
A Basic DBS check is required before starting.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold and enforce daily safety and security procedures.
- Manage forward and reverse logistics, including receiving and shipping of goods.
- Perform routine cycle counts and ensure accurate inventory management.
- Execute stock re-balancing and maintain fulfilment performance.
- Process RMAs and carry out inventory sweeps.
- Support server rack deployment by receiving and installing pre-fabricated components.
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients.
- Work to established KPIs, SLAs, and follow all work instructions.
- Provide ad-hoc support to clients as required.
- Travel to additional sites when necessary.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong listening ability.
- Analytical mindset with competent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Positive, proactive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
- Confident working independently when required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong IT literacy and willingness to learn quickly.
- Ability to understand and follow standard work instructions.
Experience Needed
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in a warehouse environment.
- Experience in stock receiving.
- Skilled in stock picking, packing, and shipping.
- Background in inventory control and cycle counting.
- Preferably experienced with WMS systems such as SAP or JDA.
- Experience managing client relationships.
