Warehouse Team Leader
£15.00 per hour | 40 hours per week | Permanent
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day warehouse and goods-in operation and bring fresh ideas to improve processes, systems, and efficiency.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong warehouse, distribution, stock control, and team leadership experience who enjoys working in a hands-on environment and takes pride in accuracy, organisation, and high standards.
The Role
Reporting to the Centre Manager, you will lead a small warehouse team of 3 direct reports, ensuring stock is managed efficiently and deliveries are processed accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day warehouse and goods-in operation.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a small established team.
- Ensure all deliveries are checked, recorded, and processed accurately.
- Maintain effective stock control, storage, and stock rotation procedures.
- Support stock takes and inventory management activities.
- Manage supplier returns and stock movements.
- Oversee customer delivery processes.
- Maintain warehouse, yard, and storage areas to a high standard.
- Ensure Health & Safety compliance across the department.
- Assist with recruitment, training, rotas, holiday requests, and payroll administration.
- Act as a key holder and Duty Manager when required.
- Work closely with the wider management team during busy seasonal periods.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Conduct regular walkthroughs of warehouse and storage areas.
- Ensure deliveries are handled efficiently and professionally.
- Ensure timely movement of stock to trading areas.
- Monitor stock levels and inventory accuracy.
- Complete and record equipment checks.
- Communicate stock shortages, delivery issues, and operational concerns promptly.
- Support seasonal stock changes and peak trading periods.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards throughout the warehouse and yard.
What We're Looking For
- Previous warehouse, goods-in, logistics, or distribution experience.
- Experience supervising or leading a warehouse team.
- Strong stock control and inventory management experience.
- Good IT skills and confidence using stock management systems.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
- Forklift licence desirable but not essential.
- Availability to work alternate weekends.

Working Hours
- 40 hours per week.
- Typical hours: 8:30am - 5:30pm.
- Sundays: 9:00am - 5:00pm.
- Alternate weekends required.
