Warehouse Team Leader (Forklift Certified)

Location: Rainham

Hours: Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend cover

Shift Pattern: Between 06:00 and 19:00

Purpose of the Role:

The Warehouse Team Leader will support the Supply Chain Manager (Distribution) in maintaining and operating the distribution hub and warehousing estate. This includes line management of warehouse and delivery operatives, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including incoming deliveries, storage, and distribution.
• Ensure systems and processes are in place for accurate handling of equipment, consumables, linen, uniforms, and other supplies.
• Line manage and motivate warehouse and delivery teams to achieve operational targets.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety standards and company policies.
• Operate a forklift as required for loading/unloading and stock movement.
• Support weekend shifts when necessary.

Requirements:

• Valid Forklift Certificate (essential).
• Previous experience in a warehouse leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexibly across shifts and weekends when required.
• Knowledge of inventory systems and distribution processes.
