Yard Security / Gatehouse Operative (Nights)
Location: Gotham (NG11 0LB)
Hours: 22:00 - 06:00
Pay Rate: £13.95 per hour
We are currently recruiting for a Yard Security / Gatehouse Operative to join a busy site on a permanent night shift. This is a varied role combining gatehouse duties, yard patrols, and visitor management, with a strong focus on maintaining site security and health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to the site
- Assist with gatehouse operations and visitor management
- Conduct regular security checks and patrols across the yard
- Escort visitors around the premises, ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed
- Maintain accurate records of visitors, vehicles, and deliveries
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies
- Ensure the security, safety, and integrity of the site at all times
Requirements
- A professional and reliable approach to work
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
- Good communication and record-keeping skills
- Ability to spend the majority of the shift on your feet and walking around the site
- Own transport is preferred due to limited public transport availability at shift start and finish times
