This week in the news we saw that the Royal Marines have won their fight to keep their longstanding ranks. The unit was unhappy with the decision - drafted last year - to give them the same ranking system as the Royal Navy in a move to further integrate the force.
Now we don’t understand the decision why this proposal was put forward in the first place, but we are glad that tradition has prevailed. you can read more about this story here.
