We are looking for dedicated Catering Assistants to join our catering teams across Warton and the surrounding areas.
This is a rewarding role within the education sector, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced kitchen environment and making a positive difference to pupils' daily experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the preparation and service of hot and cold meals
- Maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen environment
- Assisting with food preparation and basic cooking tasks
- Setting up the dining area and supporting lunchtime service
- Operating kitchen equipment safely
- Washing up and general kitchen cleaning duties
- Providing a friendly, customer‑focused service to staff
Requirements
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS check (essential - or willingness to obtain one)
- Previous kitchen or catering experience is beneficial but not essential
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instruction
- Good communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to safeguarding children
- Must be available Monday to Friday
