Spire Nottingham Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Critical Care Resident Doctor to join the bank team.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide 24-hour Critical Care resident cover, including immediate resuscitation for patients, visitors, or staff.
  • Support consultants in patient management; liaise with senior nurses regularly on patient progress.
  • Lead Critical Care team during emergencies; deliver First Aid as needed.
  • Perform ECGs, manage PCA/Epidurals, and handle venepuncture/cannulation tasks.
  • Prepare/administer IV drugs, manage male/female catherisation, and interpret blood results.
  • Conduct emergency airway management, assess/monitor patients including utilisation of invasive monitoring.
  • Coordinate pain management with consultants; demonstrate strong communication and teamwork.

Who we're looking for:

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Medicine.
  • At least 2 years' post-graduation experience in anaesthetics, ICU and allied emergency medicine roles including independent airway skills.
  • Current ACLS/ALS and EPLS/PALS certifications.
  • Experience in critical care, patient assessment, and emergency leadership.
  • Proficient in cardiac monitoring, IV drug administration, venepuncture, cannulation, communication, and teamwork.
