Catering Assistant

Location- Buxton

Hours- Monday-Friday 08:30-15:00

About the Role

We are looking to appoint a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team in Buxton. The successful candidate will help prepare and serve healthy, balanced meals and contribute to a positive lunchtime experience for young children. This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys working in a school environment and supporting children's wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

* Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals

* Ensuring a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen and dining environment

* Washing up and general kitchen cleaning duties

* Supporting the smooth running of the lunchtime service

* Following all food hygiene, health & safety, and school policies

Person Specification

* A cheerful and approachable manner

* Ability to work effectively as part of a team

* Reliable, punctual, and well organised

* Catering or kitchen experience desirable but not essential (full training provided)

* Understanding of food hygiene standards or willingness to undertake training
