Catering assistant

Are you friendly, reliable, and passionate about food service? We are looking for an enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join a busy catering team, helping to prepare and serve fresh, nutritious meals in a welcoming environment.

About the Role

As a Catering Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of a professional catering service. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will help prepare food, maintain high standards of cleanliness, and ensure an excellent dining experience for customers.

Working Hours

37.5 hours per week
Monday to Friday
7:00am to 3:00pm
30-minute unpaid break
35 weeks per year (term-time pattern plus one additional week)

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation of food and beverages, including basic food preparation tasks.
Set up and clear dining areas, tables, chairs, and equipment.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout kitchen and dining areas.
Wash dishes, cutlery, containers, and catering equipment.
Adhere to Food Hygiene, Health & Safety, and safeguarding requirements.
Support the catering team during busy service periods.
Help deliver catering services for meetings, events, and special occasions.
Contribute to a positive team environment and provide excellent customer service.
