Important DBS Information

To work within some of our client settings, particularly schools, nurseries, and care homes, you will be required to hold a valid Enhanced DBS Certificate covering Child Workforce, Adult Workforce, or both. This must be dated within the last 12 months or be registered on the DBS Update Service.

If you do not currently hold a DBS certificate, you must be willing to complete the relevant checks through Blue Arrow. Please note that a charge applies for new DBS applications.

The Role

As a Catering Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting kitchen teams and ensuring a high-quality food service by:

• Assisting with food preparation and basic kitchen duties
• Serving meals and refreshments to customers
• Maintaining cleanliness throughout kitchen and dining areas
• Following food hygiene, allergen, and health & safety procedures
• Supporting chefs and kitchen staff during busy service periods
• Washing up and ensuring equipment is cleaned and stored correctly
• Helping with stock rotation and general kitchen organisation

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a catering, hospitality, or food service environment
• Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety practices
• Food Hygiene Certificate is advantageous but not essential
• A positive and flexible attitude towards work
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Own transport is beneficial for travelling between sites
