DBS Information

Some assignments, particularly within schools, nurseries, and care environments, require a valid Enhanced DBS Certificate covering Child Workforce, Adult Workforce, or both. This must either be registered on the DBS Update Service or have been issued within the previous 12 months.

If you do not currently hold a DBS certificate, you must be willing to complete the appropriate checks through Blue Arrow. Please note that a fee will apply for new DBS applications.

The Role

As a Catering Assistant, you will help ensure kitchens and dining areas operate smoothly by:

• Supporting food preparation tasks
• Serving food and drinks to customers and service users
• Keeping kitchen and dining areas clean and hygienic
• Following food safety, allergen, and health & safety procedures
• Assisting chefs and catering teams during busy periods
• Washing dishes and cleaning kitchen equipment
• Restocking supplies and helping maintain organised storage areas

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience within catering, hospitality, food service, or customer-facing environments
• Good understanding of hygiene and food safety standards
• Food Hygiene Certificate is advantageous but not essential
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Dependable and adaptable approach to work
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
• Own transport is beneficial for travelling to different locations
