Pay Rate: £12.71 - £13.00 per hour, depending on experience, client placement, shift pattern, and working environment

• Event Catering, Conference Centres and Commercial Operations

DBS Requirements

Certain positions, particularly within education, childcare and care settings, require an Enhanced DBS Certificate covering the Child Workforce, Adult Workforce, or both. This should either be registered with the DBS Update Service or issued within the last 12 months.

Candidates without a current DBS can apply through Blue Arrow, although a charge will apply for new DBS applications.

The Role

As a Catering Assistant, your responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with basic food preparation
• Serving meals, refreshments and beverages
• Maintaining cleanliness within kitchen and dining areas
• Following food hygiene, allergen awareness and health & safety procedures
• Supporting chefs and kitchen teams during busy service periods
• Washing up and cleaning catering equipment
• Replenishing stock and ensuring storage areas remain tidy and organised

About You

We're looking for candidates who have:

• Previous experience in catering, hospitality, food service, or customer-focused roles
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safe working practices
• A Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable but not essential)
• A positive, proactive approach to work
• Good communication and teamworking skills
• Reliability and flexibility
• The ability to perform well in fast-paced environments
• Access to their own transport, which would be advantageous for travelling to different assignments
