£12.21 per hour | Monday-Friday | Term Time

Are you enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about supporting children's wellbeing through healthy, nutritious meals? We are looking for dedicated Catering Assistants to join school catering teams across Blackpool and the surrounding areas.

This is a rewarding role within the education sector, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced kitchen environment and making a positive difference to pupils' daily experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the preparation and service of hot and cold meals
• Maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen environment
• Assisting with food preparation and basic cooking tasks
• Setting up the dining area and supporting lunchtime service
• Operating kitchen equipment safely
• Washing up and general kitchen cleaning duties
• Providing a friendly, customer‑focused service to pupils and staff

Requirements

• Enhanced Child Workforce DBS check (essential - or willingness to obtain one)
• Previous kitchen or catering experience is beneficial but not essential
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instruction
• Good communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to safeguarding children
• Must be available Monday to Friday during school hours
