Blue Arrow is currently recruiting Catering Assistants to work across a variety of client sites in the Folkestone area.

This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for flexible work within schools, care homes, and commercial kitchens.

The Role

As a Catering Assistant, you will support the kitchen team to deliver a high-quality food service, ensuring excellent standards of hygiene and customer service.

Duties will include:

• Basic food preparation (washing, peeling, chopping ingredients)
• Serving food and drinks to customers
• Cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas
• Setting up and clearing service areas and dining spaces
• Washing up and maintaining a clean, safe working environment
• Supporting with stock rotation and deliveries
• Following all food hygiene and health & safety procedures

Requirements

• Previous catering or kitchen experience preferred but not essential
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and reliability
• Understanding of food hygiene standards (training can be provided)

Food handlers must follow strict hygiene practices and safety procedures to ensure food is safe to eat.
