An established catering and hospitality operation in the SN4 area is looking to recruit a Catering Team Leader to support the smooth running of its food service operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced catering professional who enjoys leading from the front, maintaining high standards, and delivering an outstanding customer experience.

The Role

As Catering Team Leader, you will play a key role in overseeing daily food service operations, ensuring food safety compliance, supporting team performance, and maintaining a welcoming dining environment.

Working closely with the management team, you will help drive service standards, coordinate operational activities, and support the ongoing development of colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team to deliver a high-quality catering service.
  • Ensure food safety, allergen management, and hygiene standards are consistently maintained.
  • Oversee meal service, presentation standards, and customer satisfaction.
  • Support staff training, coaching, and development.
  • Monitor stock levels, stock rotation, and waste control.
  • Ensure dining and service areas remain clean, organised, and compliant with regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider operation to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Assist with operational planning and day-to-day decision making.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience within catering, hospitality, food service, or a similar environment.
  • A Level 3 Food Safety qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • A positive and proactive approach to leadership.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supervising or supporting a team would be advantageous.
