Cleaning Supervisor - Asda Bidvest Noonan- Ryhope

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cleaner or supervisor looking to take the next step into a leadership role. In addition to maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the store, you will support the day-to-day management of the cleaning team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

There is also a temp-to-perm opportunity after 12 weeks for candidates seeking a permanent position.

Shift Pattern:

Tuesday: 10:45 -15:00 | Wednesday: 10:45 -15:00| Thursday: 10:30 -15:00 | Friday: 10:30 -15:00 | Saturday: 10:45 -15:00

Pay Rate:

£14.10 per hour

Key Responsibilities

As a Cleaning Team Lead, your duties will include:

• Leading and supporting a team of cleaning operatives to deliver high cleaning standards throughout the store
• Allocating tasks and monitoring team performance throughout each shift
• Cleaning retail, customer and colleague areas to a high standard
• Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and sanitising surfaces
• Cleaning washroom and welfare facilities
• Emptying and relining waste bins
• Carrying out floor care tasks, including buffing and polishing where required
• Conducting routine quality checks and inspections
• Reporting maintenance, health & safety or cleaning issues to management
• Assisting with the training and onboarding of new team members
• Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times
• Acting as the main point of contact for the team during shifts

What We're Looking For

• Previous cleaning experience is essential
• Previous supervisory, team leader or senior cleaner experience is desirable
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Good understanding of spoken and written English
• Reliable, punctual and organised
• Ability to motivate and support a team
• Positive attitude with a strong focus on customer service
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
