A popular and well-established restaurant in Christchurch is looking for a passionate Commis Chef to join its growing kitchen brigade. Thanks to an incredibly busy summer season and consistent trade throughout the week, we're expanding our team and looking for someone who takes pride in producing quality food.

What We Offer

✅ Around 45 hours per week (with flexibility for chefs seeking slightly fewer hours)

The Role

Working alongside a strong and supportive kitchen team, you'll assist with food preparation, service and maintaining high standards across the kitchen. We take pride in preparing a large proportion of our food from fresh ingredients and don't rely heavily on pre-made products, making this a great environment for chefs who genuinely enjoy cooking.

During the summer months, we do not serve breakfast, meaning shifts focus on lunch and dinner service, helping to create a better work-life balance and shorter working days than many hospitality roles.

• Previous kitchen experience beneficial but not essential
