The Role

As Commis Chef, you'll support the senior kitchen team in delivering fresh, nutritious and high-quality meals for students, staff and visitors. You'll gain valuable experience across all areas of the kitchen while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with food preparation and service
• Preparing fresh ingredients and basic dishes
• Supporting chefs during busy service periods
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
• Ensuring kitchen areas remain clean, organised and compliant
• Assisting with stock rotation and storage procedures
• Working collaboratively as part of a professional catering team

About You

• Passionate about food and hospitality
• Previous kitchen experience is desirable but not essential
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Strong team player with good communication skills
• Knowledge of food hygiene practices is beneficial
• Reliable, organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment
