Job Purpose:
To provide exceptional Food & Beverage to visitors with outstanding customer service.
What are you expected to do?
* Ensure that a high standard of Customer Service is delivered at all times, providing a welcoming and positive experience to visitors enabling maximum enjoyment and benefits through their visit.
* Produce the full fresh food, offer each morning, including baking, cooking, and production of all items of the food & beverage offer, following Food Hygiene guidance.
* Assist in the preparation and delivery of an efficient food & beverage service including:
o To take orders from the customers in a polite manner and provide clear details of requirements to other members of staff.
o Preparation and service of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food to the customers.
o Money Handling, using the EPOS till system.
o Ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, compliance with licensing law and cash handling procedures.
* Maximise retail sales and donations through effective sales techniques, selling merchandise and undertake sales of other items
* Utilise the ticketing system to sell tickets and accommodate bookings for all events and activities across the site including Exhibitions, Play Park, Time Travel Ride.
* Assist with the opening and closing of the café buildings/units including routine security.
* Follow established financial procedures to ensure the security and confidentiality of cash, cheque, credit and debit card transactions and customer data.
What you need to be successful?
* Previous Bar / Catering experience.
* Knowledge of food hygiene.
* Ability to follow processes to prepare/cook food as required.
* Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
* Ability to apply accurate literacy and numeracy skills to the duties of the post.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
