Food Services Assistant UHI

Location: Inverness (City Centre)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 10:00am-1:30pm (15 hours per week)

Pay Rate: £13.80 per hour

Contract: Ongoing temporary until end of May 2026.

About the Role

We are currently recruiting a Food Services Assistant to join our client's friendly and well‑established team based in the heart of Inverness. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for stable, weekday daytime hours with no evening or weekend shifts.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting daily catering operations, ensuring a high standard of service and a welcoming experience for all customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with food preparation and basic cooking duties
• Serving meals and refreshments in a polite and professional manner
• Maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas
• Following food hygiene and safety procedures at all times
• Assisting with stock rotation and replenishment
• Providing general support to the catering team as required

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

• Reliable, enthusiastic, and able to work as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a busy catering environment
• Able to follow health, safety, and food hygiene guidelines
• Friendly and customer‑focused

Requirements

• Previous catering or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential
• Must be willing to undergo a PVG background check (required for this position)
• Ability to work the specified hours Monday to Friday
